Dr. Dale Wetmore is thrilled to be part of the talented team at Warshauer & Santamaria. An Ohio native, Dr. Wetmore earned an undergraduate B.S. in Zoology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Ohio State University. In 1975, he moved to Boston and joined the practice of Dr. Henry Swaebe, D.M.D. at 29 Commonwealth Ave. He bought the practice later that year, and over the next 42 years grew the business into a respected and successful one, developing many long-term connections with both his patients and staff. When the building was sold in June, 2017, Dr. Wetmore knew he wanted to continue practicing in the beautiful Back Bay, an area close to his heart, so joining Warshauer & Santamaria was the perfect solution.
Dr. Wetmore decided he wanted to be a dentist in eighth grade while doing a research project on potential future careers. When he discovered that the field of dentistry encompassed many of his interests—his love of science, a desire to work with his hands, and the opportunity to help people—he knew it would be a great career for him. Dr. Wetmore feels most fulfilled in his work when he can listen to and solve his patients’ needs and concerns, putting them at ease while providing the highest-quality, personalized care available, and seeing them pleased with the end results.
In addition to a full range of restorative, general, and cosmetic dentistry services he offers, Dr. Wetmore is a trained provider of Cerec® One-Visit Crowns. The Cerec® system utilizes in-office digital CAD/CAM technology to design and fabricate an all-ceramic crown customized to your tooth’s exact specifications—all while you wait! Your crown will be created and fitted all in one visit, eliminating the need for a temporary crown and to return for a second appointment. With additional certifications in Nitrous Oxide Administration, Invisalign Orthodontics, and Zoom Whitening, Dr. Wetmore uses all the tools at his disposal to make sure his patients always leave with beautiful, healthy smiles and that their experience is as positive and comfortable as possible.
Dr. Wetmore lives in Framingham with his wife Joan, who, as he puts it, “has put up with me for over 45 years”, and their dog, Cody, a 16-year-old puppy who thinks the world revolves around him. They are proud parents of a daughter, Jill, and son, Michael. Dr. Wetmore loves being a grandfather and spending time with his family, and in his spare time enjoys reading, watching movies and sporting events, and playing the occasional game of golf.
